The goal of the IWRH program is to produce investigators who examine women's reproductive health issues from an interdisciplinary perspective. In order to achieve this faculty members from the Child and Family Research Institute (CFRI) and the University of British Columbia (UBC) will provide a rich intellectual and technical environment for IWRH trainees.
These mentors, who have, established research programs covering a broad range of research in basic and applied biomedical, clinical, and social sciences, will provide needed expertise and resources to ensure that the IWRH trainees benefit from a broad perspective on women's reproductive health issues.
Thus, the key priority of the IWRH research training program is to ensure that the findings derived from current research in these diverse areas of women's reproductive health are incorporated into the education and training of the next generation of investigators and health care providers.
